The iPAD SP1 Semi-Automatic Defibrillator from CU Medical Systems is an easy-to-use AED designed to provide clear guidance throughout a cardiac arrest emergency. The device automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm and, when a shock is required, instructs the rescuer to press the flashing shock button.Suitable for both adults and children, the iPAD SP1 uses the same pre-connected electrode pads for both. A protected adult/paediatric selector changes the operating mode and reduces the energy level for a child without requiring separate paediatric pads.Clear illuminated illustrations and calm voice prompts guide the rescuer through each stage. There is no need to find and connect a separate set of child pads.The SP1 delivers 150 J in adult mode and 50 J in paediatric mode and can be used with the appropriate paediatric setting for children aged 1 year and over.This makes the SP1 particularly practical for locations where both adults and children may be present.Semi-Automatic Operation and CPR GuidanceThe iPAD SP1 automatically analyses the patient's heart rhythm and determines whether a shock is required.If a shockable rhythm is detected, the AED charges and instructs the rescuer to press the flashing orange shock button to deliver the shock.Voice prompts and illuminated graphics provide instructions throughout the rescue.
